Support Coordinator

My name is Pita and “Taggi” to my friends. My human service career really started while I was residing in Fiji and I started working for the Fiji Police Force. I then got an opportunity to work for, Australian Defence Corporation as Accounts Officer in 1994. This was at the Australian High Commission in Suva, which got me really interested in migrating to Australia, and the rugby. I was able to fulfil this dream when I moved here in 1998. My beliefs and values led me to work for the  NSW Department of Juvenile Justice, where I worked with marginalised youth for many years before moving to Queensland in 2015. I took up a position as care coordinator and respite manager with a disability organisation in Toowoomba. I resigned to complete my studies in Community Services at USQ. I have a strong background in case management associated with community rehabilitation and youth justice. I believe that everyone should be treated fairly by the social systems that have been created to support them. As an Australian citizen I firmly believe that every Australian deserves to be treated with the dignity and respect under the law.
