Michelle holds a Bachelor of Social Work (Honors) after graduating in 2010 and is a member of the AASW. Michelle has also completed her post-graduate Certificate as a Play Therapist and looks to study further in other forms of therapy that supports Client well-being.
During Michelle’s Social Work career, she has worked in the Family and Child sector of Child Protection as well as Early Invention Services in keeping Children and Families safe. This was achieved for Individuals and Families by applying strong and effective case management and counselling skills to improve and manage complicating factors such as unmanaged Mental Health symptoms, Domestic Violence, Drug and Alcohol misuse, and Housing. Michelle has strong and effective case management skills to enhance the individual and family functioning by applying therapeutic and practical support for areas such as relationships, stress-management and development.
Michelle works to ensure advocacy and partnership with other agencies to deliver a high level of integrated support to Individuals as well as ensure case plans are client-focused and comprise of building appropriate referrals and connections to community supports and services.
