Lauren brings 10 years of invaluable experience working in the public healthcare system, with a special focus on providing support to women and families. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in her specialised health field and is registered with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).
Driven by her personal experience with family members who have benefited from NDIS support, Lauren is deeply passionate about assisting participants and families in navigating the services available to ensure their safety and promote independence. She adopts a holistic approach, considering the physical, social, and psychological well-being of individuals, drawing on her extensive knowledge of pathophysiology gained through her healthcare background.
Lauren excels in complex case planning and management, and her expertise extends to community-based primary healthcare. Through her work, she has cultivated a profound appreciation for the significance of multidisciplinary care and emphasises open and transparent communication with clients and their families.
Lauren can effectively convey information, actively listen to concerns, and provide clear explanations of complex concepts in a compassionate and empathetic manner. Lauren empowers participants to express their needs, preferences, and goals. She can ensure that their voices are heard, respected, and incorporated into their care plans.
Lauren’s training to handle critical situations making quick decisions and maintaining composure under pressure to effectively manage crisis situations or unexpected challenges, ensures that participants receive timely assistance and appropriate interventions when needed.
Lauren’s experience in providing inclusive care to different backgrounds enables her to understand and respect the cultural, social, and religious beliefs of participants and their families, ensuring care is delivered in a culturally competent manner.
