Eveline Hookham – Social Worker

Eveline graduated from Griffith University with a Graduate Certificate in Youth and Community Work in 2013 and a Master of Social Work Qualifying in 2015.  She has been employed in a variety of roles since graduating.  Eveline has worked in both mainstream and LGBTIQ communities in both paid and voluntary roles, with a strong focus on Social Justice and Human Rights.  These roles have included Disability Support Worker, Child Safety Officer, LGBTIQ Support Facilitator, Support Coordinator, and Case Manager.

Eveline brings many transferable skills from a policing career, spanning 26 years, which included senior management roles.

Eveline enjoys working with individuals and their families, adopting a person-centred, strengths-focussed approach whilst building positive working relationships.


Registered member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) since 2015, Member Number 41143.  Registered DVA Provider.

Eveline is currently working towards obtaining her Mental Health Accreditation as a Social Worker.

Ally in the LGBTIQ community, Trauma and Grief Support, Conflict Resolution, Disability Support, Mental Health, Case Management, and Psychosocial Disability.
