Social Worker . Case Manager . Support Coordinator
Clare graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology major) and a Bachelor of Social Work in 2002.
Clare worked for the state government in child protection for 10 years in both frontline as well as review, operational support and investigations roles. Clare has spent the rest of her career working across a range of practice areas, including the social security system, case management of unaccompanied humanitarian minors, foster care, aged and disability support, as well as clinical social work in hospital settings.
Clare has significant experience in providing advice and support to families and carers in relation to parenting, positive behaviour management and meeting children’s physical and emotional needs. Clare enjoys working with clients for whom there are complex issues impacting on individual and family functioning and relationships and supporting her clients to enhance their psycho-social functioning and connection to community.
Clare has a strong social work values base and a particular interest in supporting marginalised, vulnerable and disadvantaged clients to maximise their health and well-being. She strives to promote social justice and fairness and to advocate for equitable access to services and resources.
